Nontraditional Student Program

Event Planner | September 2023- June 2025

I planned and implemented events in collaboration with and under supervision of Whitney Donielson for the Nontraditional Student Program, a program within The Dean of Students at University of Oregon that serve students that identify as:

  • Are over the age of 24
  • Are married, divorced, or partnered
  • Work full time
  • Are a parent or caregiver of a family member
  • Are returning to or starting college after a break
  • Are changing careers
  • Are a military veteran or active duty
  • Have a low income or independent financial status
  • Self-identify as nontraditional
  • Are a transfer student
  • Have a disability
  • Are a first-generation college student

All of these events were created in order to connect these students to resources and build community.

My duties included brainstorming event ideas, collaborating with other programs, creating and dispersing promotional material, reserving event spaces, ordering catering and other products needed, communicating with all involved, creating reservation links, tabling at events, signing attendees in, leading tours and workshops, and cleaning up/setting up.
