WORK 01

Feature Story

J361 Reporting I | December 2023

I wrote this feature story for J361 Reporting class about a traveling family that have started a movement called The Revolujahs and The Medicine Show Revival. I chose this subject because I found it interesting, unique, quirky, and even heartwarming, so I felt like it was something that would catch readers attention but also it is about community, which is something that everyone can relate to.

WORK 02

Public Meeting Story

J361 Reporting I | October, 2023

I wrote this article for J 361 about a motion that was discussed and approved at a Eugene City Council Meeting that allowed the city to use bond measure funding for infrastructure and transportation safety projects. I felt like this was something that the public deserved to know in an easily digestible way.

WORK 03

Text Story

J211 Gateway to Media | February 2021

I wrote this story about a local activist during the time of police reform controversies and Black Lives Matter protests, so it was very relevant at the time and also provided insight to who this activist is, why they started protesting, and what they hope to do in the future which I was hoping would break down some stereotypes and false narratives about activists. I am honored I got to write this article about them before they passed away just two years after I wrote this and shared this with them.
